The Sports development team offers advice and support to organisations considering/pursuing external financial assistance from the extensive range of agencies currently available.

Easington District Sports Council (EDSC)

The District of Easington sports development team contribute to the funding of 'Easington District Sports Council' (EDSC). 

EDSC administer these small funds to successful candidates to their grant scheme.

Application for grant can be made on a individual or club basis.

Awards For All

Awards for all logo Awards for all is a grants programme set up to help small groups. 

If you are a local group and you need between £500 and £5,000 Awards for All may be able to help you. 

Awards for All can fund projects which involve people in their local community, bringing thm together to take part in a range of arts, sport, heritage, charitable and other community activities. 

Sometimes quite small sums of money can have a big impact. Awards for All aims to make a real difference to smaller groups and strengthen community activity.

SportsAid

SportsAid provides direct financial assistance to young sportsmen and women, between the ages of 12 and 18, to help meet the costs of their sporting development. SportsAid is a national independent charity which does not receive any government or lottery funding.

Football Foundation

The Football Foundation is a unique partnership funded by the FA premier league, the FA and the Government. The Foundation is playing a key role in revitalising grass rots sport, investing in parks, schools and playing fields and harnessing the power of the game within our communities, to promote education and social inclusion. Their mission is to:

SportsMatch

SportsMatch logo

SportsMatch is the governments grass roots sports sponsorship incentive scheme - the scheme can match pound for pound a sponsors new investment in a bonafide development programme.

Sport England

Sport England invests in projects which help people start, stay and succeed in sport. They distribute funds through two funding streams - Community and National.

Community - for funding between £500 and £5000 'Awards for all' funding should be sought. For funding over £5000 the regional Sport England board will assess the bid against the regions sports plan.       

National  - £130 million has been dedicated to the development of 30 key sports. Each governing body is responsible for delivering the targets set out in their plans.
