Education and training

Coachbase logo

The Sports Development team at Easington are committed to improving the standard of coaching throughout the district. The team are currently gathering information on all coaches that work within the district; this coach management system has been named Coachbase.

As well as monitoring coach employment throughout Easington we also aim to offer opportunities for each coach to personally develop their skills; this is done by organising coach education courses for teachers, coaches, volunteers and future leaders.

About this service

Coachbase

The system's aim is to devise a database of details for each coach including relevant and up to date qualifications from national governing bodies, police checks by the criminal records bureau and any relevant courses/workshops undertaken by the coach.

The purpose of Coachbase is to ensure a high level of practice and professionalism from each coach registered on the scheme and allows easy access to coaches in the area. The database is beneficial both to the community and to the coach, offering the public a comprehensive check on coaches qualifications before he/she works with them whilst also providing the coach with the opportunity for more work and a chance to improve their personal development.

In the long term we are hoping to make this system essential criteria for anyone wishing to coach in the District of Easington in order to standardise our service.

If you are qualified in any sport, then why not register with Coachbase? To obtain a copy of the application form contact the Sports development team at the contact information provided.
