Projects funded in the District of Easington

Around the district there are many community centres who have benefited from small, medium or a large grants.  These have been use to purchase items of equipment, employ staff to undertake specific roles and contribute towards the rebuilding or refurbishment of the buildings.

Small grants have been awarded to purchase new and replacement furniture, computers, security measure for premises, training and instruction aids and finance for many projects involving children.

Large grants have been awarded that have contributed towards employing staff for up to a period of 3 years, rebuilding community centres and purchasing large items of equipment.

Many voluntary and charitable organisations have also received grants that have helped them to provide improved services, reach new customers and beneficiaries and also to employ additional staff resources.  Many development workers have been employed in the District through grants that have sought to address specific social problems, such as teenage pregnancy, debt counselling, Council for Voluntary Services, Youth Inclusion and Youth Outreach Workers.  Grants have also been received that have enabled organisations to develop projects using the services of a professional such as an Architect or Consultant.
