Coast and countryside events

The Coast and Countryside Rangers organise and hold free, community events throughout the year. These events include: 

• educational fun events, providing the local community with an opportunity to learn about local environment and wildlife.
• guided walks and cycle rides.
• practical countryside improvement work events.        

The Rangers also attend other large events to promote their services. Shows they usually attend include Durham County show, action packed futures and Peterlee show.

If you would like to receive regular, monthly information about local events that are being organised by the Coast and Countryside Rangers, you can request to be added to the ranger's event mailing list by contacting us.

About this service

Events are open to all members of the community, however we do ask that children under the age of sixteen are accompanied by an adult. 

What you must do

To be included on the mailing list for events you will need to contact us (see details below) and request to be added to the coast and countryside ranger mailing list. You will need to leave your contact details, including name address and optional telephone number and email address.

What happens next?

Once a request for information about events has been received a schedule of events will be mailed out to you within two weeks.
