All land and property transactions are valued on an individual basis.
The Council does not provide a commercial valuation or estate agency service for private property.

Please note that the valuation office at Durham currently carries out the rating valuations.
About this service
The District of Easington's valuation team undertake the following types of valuation
- right to buys
- land sales
- garden extensions
- lease renewals and rent reviews
What you must do
If you are interested in a valuation of a council owned property please contact the Asset and Property Management Unit.
What we must do
- Comply with the Housing Act legislation for the Right to Buy Applications
- Local Government Act in relation to land disposals
- Standing Orders as set out by the District of Easington
What happens next?
An acknowledgement to correspondence will be received by the customer within seven working days and a full response will be provided within six weeks.
What are the charges for this service?
Surveyor's fees are applicable for certain applications and valuations.
