Grazing
The District of Easington provides numerous grazing sites throughout the district.
All of the sites are currently let, however you can place your name on a waiting list.
The sites are let on a 364 day licence and are offered upon expiry to the current licensee. If they do not wish to renew the licence it will be offered to the next highest person on the waiting list.

What you must do
If you are interested in a grazing licence and wish to be placed on the waiting list for one of our sites, please complete and return an application form.

What happens next?
An acknowledgement to correspondence will be received by the customer within seven working days and a full response will be provided within six weeks.
What are the charges for this service?
Charges vary accordingly to the size of the site and are reviewed annually.
An administration fee of £15 will be charged to cover the costs of issuing a licence.
Some frequently asked questions
What animals can I keep on the site?
Cattle and livestock are permitted. The land shall not be used at any time for grazing of horses unless specifically authorised. The keeping of bulls, stallions or goats is not permitted.
Who is responsible for fencing repairs?
It is the licencee's responsibility to maintain the fences and gates and ensure they are kept in a sound and stockproof condition.
How do I give up the grazing site?
You can terminate your tenancy at any time by contacting the Asset and Property Management Unit with details.
Can I build on my site?
Buildings are not permitted on any of our sites.
Do the sites have a water supply?
No. There is not a water supply available to any of the sites.
