Common Land Registration Searches
Common Land Registration searches are carried out by Durham County Council.
Water Authority Searches
Water Authority Searches are carried out by Northumbrian Water Limited.
Plans
Wherever possible you should include a site plan with your search requisition. A site plan is essential for commercial, industrial and land sites. If the requisition is for a property on a new estate details of plot number, Builder and Phase (where applicable) is required together with a plan. Contact the Local Land Charges Office for further details.

Response Times
The majority of standard searches on residential properties are returned in less than 10 working days. Commercial and industrial searches may take a little longer to process and requisitions for these should always be accompanied by a plan.

All fees must be prepaid. Payment by cheque made payable to “District of Easington”.
