About this service

Sports Development Team

The Sports Development team have 10 main priorities:

  1. Development of key sporting events 
  2. Improve the school to club sport links
  3. Provide advice and support to organisations and sports clubs
  4. Provide assistance with grant funding bids
  5. Co-ordinate and deliver holiday sport programmes for young people
  6. Implement National Initiatives in schools and clubs
  7. Provide training opportunities for coaches and volunteers
  8. Use sport as a tool to reduce anti social behaviour in local communities
  9. Raise awareness of the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyles
  10. Encourage lifelong participation in healthy activity
