Now you can have total peace of mind round the clock, and your family/carers can relax, safe in the knowledge that help is at hand.
Located at the District of Easington Council Office, the Control Centre is manned continuously throughout the day and night by a team of highly trained and experienced control wardens and mobile wardens. When an intercom call is received at the centre, the details of the caller are displayed on a computer screen while the Control Warden speaks to the caller to find out the reason of the call and what type of help you may need.If needed a Mobile Warden will be sent to assist. Whether you live in your own home or a council house, you can join us for a small charge.
You do not have to be an older person to use this service- many vulnerable people and families with young children also take advantage of the lifeline.
We will connect an intercom to your existing phone line, and this automatically connects to the Control Centre. By wearing/ using a pendant, or pressing a button on the intercom unit, you can call for help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
If you are currently in receipt of housing benefit or pension credit and have support needs you may not have to pay for the service as long as there are vacancies in the ‘supporting people’ contract. Please contact us for more information.
