Tenant and Residents Federation

The District of Easington Tenant and Residents Federation are a group of volunteers from all backgrounds who are 'representatives of residents groups or individual representatives' that all share a common interest, to care about what happens on their estates.

They work with the District of Easington Council, East Durham Homes, other housing providers, as well as a significant number of other organisations and their aim is to have as much influence over issues which affect their everyday lives as they possibly can, and to make their community a better place to live.

The Federation is currently undergoing a review, facilitated by the East Durham Community Trust which will see the creation of a 'customer panel' to allow organisations such as the Council and East Durham Homes to consult with residents who represent the community.

The main aim is to establish a wider, more representative membership and to create an independent organisation capable of achieving its aims and objectives.
