Street litter including street sweeping

We are responsible for the removal of street litter and detritus from adopted highways and public open spaces across the district.

Streets are inspected three times per annum to collate figures for an annual return of the BVPI 199.

Some frequently asked questions

How can I report a problem of litter?

Contact Envirocall who will arrange to have the area cleaned and/or arrange for the Environmental Wardens to patrol the areas in an effort to witness anyone dropping litter, who then would be issued a fixed penalty fine.
