Street Recycling Bins

This is a picture of the new street recycling bins

We have introduced a new scheme at Crimdon caravan site car park and Seaham Hall car park to recycle cans, paper and glass bottles that would normally end up in the litter bins or littering the streets and footpaths.

Local residents now have the opportunity to recycle when they are out and about and not just at home.

If the scheme is successful, you could see these bins across the district in all different areas and venues.

Please ask friends and colleagues to utilise these new bins and help us to reduce waste that is going to landfill.

Carton Recycling

Residents can now recycle their paper based-drinks cartons by taking them to the new carton recycling banks located at Green Street car park in Seaham and the Council Offices car park at Easington.

The District of Easington Council is working in partnership with Durham County Council and Tetra Pak Ltd to trial the scheme for six months.  If successful more bins could be located throughout the district.
