Insulating hot water tanks and pipes will help to keep your hot water hot for that nice long bath after a hard day's work!
By fitting a British Standard 'jacket' to your hot water cylinder it will cut heat loss by up to 75% and cost you less to heat your water. They can be found in any good DIY store and are cheap and easy to fit.
If you have a jacket fitted to your hot water cylinder already, check to see that it's at least 75mm (3") thick. If not, it's definitely worth replacing with a nice new heat saving one!
Remember to insulate any pipes that are in your loft space to prevent damage caused by pipe bursts.
