High-tech computer kiosk's offering round-the-clock access to information about local services have been introduced across District of Easington.
The iPlus Kiosk information points enable members of the public to report environmental problems, find out about council services, send email and much more – all without charge.
The kiosk access points are situated at the following locations in towns and villages around the district:
Outside the Post Office, Peterlee Town Centre
At the bottom of Church Street, Seaham
Inside the Glebe Centre, Murton
Outside the Robin Todd Centre, South Hetton
Inside Wingate Community Centre, Wingate
Inside the Blackhall Resource Centre, Blackhall
Opposite Thornley Post Office, Thornley
At the top of Blackhills Terrace, Horden
Inside the Healthy Living Resource Centre, Easington Colliery
As well as finding out more about council services, people who use the kiosks can look up and print off information about organisations including Childline, Women’s Aid, the National Missing Person’s Helpline and Crimestoppers.
Other facilities include free e.mail and e.postcards, an entertainment guide, access to the BBC News website, a job search, travel planner and maps.
