The Local Government Act (2003) and supporting regulations requires the Council to ensure the councils capital investment plans are affordable, prudent and sustainable. It is therefore necessary to prepare a Treasury Strategy Statement and Annual Investment Strategy as a means of ensuring the requirements of the LGA(2003) are met.
