Residents of two East Durham communities will be invited to find out more about on-going efforts to improve their quality of life next week.
Horden North and Grants Houses will be the latest stop off points for the BlitzBus, a mobile information and advice centre.
The bus is visiting selected areas around the district as part of a series of Week in Action events showcasing the work of public sector, community and voluntary organisations.
The tour has been organised by Horden and Easington Colliery Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder to inform residents of the services available to them and identify and solve any gaps in provision.
Michael Wilkes, Pathfinder Area Manager, said: “This is our fifth Week in Action but the support we are receiving from local service providers and agencies is as strong as ever.
“Each event we have held so far has also seen an increase in resident involvement as word has spread about what we are doing so we’re particularly looking forward to seeing how many people turn out this time around.”
The bus will be located at:
· Sunderland Road Car Park, Horden
Monday, 13 October – 9.30am to 4pm
Tuesday, 14 October – 9.30am to 4pm
Wednesday, 15 October – 9.30am to noon

Thursday, 16 October – 9.30am to 4pm
